
Day 1 : Imlil – Tizi Ntamatere – Wanskra – Tachdirth
From imlil, we set out along a piste for a 1 hour and 45 minutes hiketowards the east up to the tizi n’tamaterte (2279m) and on throughfields of barley and orchards of walnuts , apple and cherry trees untilwe reach the village of Tamaterte.
Once through the village we shalltake a path which leads us up though pine and juniper woods. We stop atthe tizi to admire the Imlil and Imnane valleys , this latter with itsmany berber villages tucked precariously onto the slopes stretchingaround us. We carry on along the upper valley slopes for another houror so to the villages of first Wanskra and then Amagdoul, set amidstterraced plots of land carved from the hard slopes. We shall stop herefor our field picnic on the plateau, used, in summer, as a favouredbivouac site.
Our afternoon will be spent hiking for some 2 hours upthrough the valley along the mule trails until we reach the pretty andthe oldest berber village in the toubkal massif ( tachdirth 2291m), setamongst terraced plots clawed from the surrounding craggy slopes, wherewe will overnight in a gite d’etape .
Day 2 Tachdirth –Iaabbassen – Timichi
After an early breakfast we start our 6 hours hike south-eastwards tothe terraced village of Timichi (1850m), at the western offshoot headof Ourika valley. We trek for 2 and a half hours, slowly up to the Tizin’Tachdirth (3200m), which affords us a stunning panoramic view of jbelAksoual (3842m) and Bouignouane (3882m) on one side and Angour on theother.
The beginning of the luscious nature of beautiful Verdant valleystreching out way below us. We shall traverse the pass and continue ondown through the rocks north-eastwards for a further 2 hours untill wereach the berber village of Iaabbassen (2030m), where we will stop forour welcome field picnic next to spring just outside of the village.
The afternoon’s 2 hours hike up futher to the northeast down the valleyto the old village of timichi, a charming terraced pisé conglomerationof homes set amongst ancient nut trees, where we will have our dinnerandovernight in a berber family’s home.

Day 3 Timichi –Tiwerdiwe – Tadrarte – Agadir n’ait boulmane -Settifadma
After breakfast we set out for a 4 to 5 hours hike eastwards downalong the valley full of cornfields and walnuts groves, with manystreams flowing down from the upper slopes, passing through thevillages of Anfli and Tadrart to arrive at the end of beautiful Ourikavalley proper and the renowned berber village of Setti Fadma ,with itsancient nut trees and waterfalls. We shall stop for our picnic justoutside of the village , before hiking for another half hour to get tothe vehicle.

All deposits are completely non refundable.Cancellations within 14 days of the service start date are charged 50%of the balance outstanding. Cancellations within 7 days of the servicestart date are charged at 100% of the outstanding balance.No shows will be charged at 100% of the outstanding balance.In the event of an incident or event which prevents you from joiningthe tour or travelling, we are happy to work with you to provide youwith confirmations for your insurance company. Changes to reservationsare possible, without penalty. If the change results in a differenttotal reservation cost, you will be advised of any finanacial changesat that time.

About your guide:
Houssine, Atlas Mountain guide, originally from aBerber area, he worked as a muleteer for a long time with individualsand groups. In 2000 he graduated from the “Royal Moroccan Federation ofSkiing of and Mountaineering based in Oukaimeden.
Inaddition to his experience and knowledge in the Atlas Mountain, thisdiploma qualified him as a Mountain Guide, able to organize trips ofall kinds around the Kingdom of Morocco for walkers & non-walkers.
Houssine aims to introduce his own Berber culture to his customers as an old culture in the North Africa.
